Starbucks to buy Seattle's Best Coffee

Starbucks to buy Seattle's Best Coffee
A little bit of local news that suprised me, not that I keep up on the coffe business, but I like Seattle Best's mocha's and sweet coffee's a whole hell'va lot more than Strarbucks, they put little chocolate sticks in 'em. mmmmm..... coffeeeee.....
The question is though, just how many Starbucks can the Seattle area handle, I mean litterally there is more than one place where they are across the street from each other. One of the italian reseraunts I like, Palermo's up on 15th does not even serve espresso because there are so many other coffee places around, a freakin' italian resteraunt without espresso, whaaaa? But seriously, is Arthur Anderson starbucks accountant or can they really make enough money to have a store on EVERY corner.

They may keep them as they are -- or there may end up being Starbucks EVERYWHERE. I wouldn't be surprised...in Vancouver, BC, they have two Starbucks on the same corner, kitty-corner from each other. In case you're too lazy to cross the street. ...And Torrefazione, too? A pity.

Yeah the same thing in downtown Bellevue I believe, over by the bus station, right across the street from eachother. Wasn't that a joke in "Best of Show" where the two people with the wiemeraner meet looking across the street from starbucks to starbucks, and that was like 2 years ago.

I work at a Seattle's Best in Corona Del Mar, CA. Or at least I did until Starbucks shut us down. After we were up and running, a Starbucks moved across the street and started sucking up all our business. Then, when Starbucks bought us out, they decided to shut us down. Now, all of the Seattle's Bests in southern CA are being shut down because we're the competition. What is that called when something spreads so rapidly and destroys everything in its path? Oh yeah, a virus. Sweet, maybe we can all work at Starbucks or get drinks from Starbucks. Who needs selection? It would be better if we only had one choice for everything, even if it's not even a good choice, right? Well, I'd better wrap up so I can put on the same clothes as everybody else, get in my car that's exactly like everybody else's, and drive to Starbucks to get the same trendy drink as everyone else.

There is still Tully's and the independents. No more SBC for me. You lemmings can continue going over the cliff drinking that foul tasting S______k's crap. I pass.
