CIA World Fact Book 2002

Stumbled across this online while looking for the Liberian flag, seems like a resource that we all pay for so we should all use.

Why ever were you looking for the Liberian flag?

Liberia is a sad story (I'll have to do a post on it once). Slaves freed go back to Africa and set up the same plantation system they left behind, this time with them as masters. It's America's one contribution to the African continent, and we could have done a lot better.

oh, this is a good story (why I was looking for the flag). I did this poster not that long ago:

and recently was contacted by someone asking for copies of it. So I made some versions of it up on cafepress and sent him a PDF that he could print out for free. Then I did some research on the guy and I find out, (I think) that he is somehow related to William Tolbert Jr. former president of Libera. And the flag in the poster is the Liberian flag, which I kind of have knew when I did it. This guy also wants me to do more African related posters for him, not sure if I am going to pursue it thiugh.
