Samurai-sword controller for the PS2

Are you nerdy enough for this?
Onimusha 3 unsheathes katana controller

"Game-controller manufacturer Hori Japan is releasing an interesting official tie-in for Capcom's upcoming Onimusha 3. Modeled after a Japanese katana sword, the wireless "Soul Controller" measures three feet, two inches (96.5cm) in length, has gold accents, and even comes with a ceremonial stand....The sword will also have a full PS2 controller button array in its hilt, for when gamers get tired. this is a freakin cool controller. but how do you use it.

Interesting. I would like to have one of those. Is there one for the other systems as well? If there was, then product sales would surely go up!
There are many Gamecube and Xbox games that would benefit from this device, like the Zelda games and Soul Caliber II. Maybe other model types could be created for other games, like Lord Of The Rings and Samurai Jack. The design for this looks too complicated, though. Why not make the design a full sword with the desired controller at the bottom of the hilt of the sword? I'm sure there was a picture at Gamespot.com...It was in one of the links. It would be very simple to switch from controller to sword in a second!
